Van diemen RF79 chassis numbers

Hi there, can any one help me at all with chassis number info for Van Diemen RF79s at all?

I am trying to find out if Fernando Ribeiro's car is still about at all and if so what its chassis number is. I know it was roled big time at Brands by him that year. However, I assume it was repaired and sold on at the end of the season when ill health forced him out of racing.

If anyone can help locating the car, or number I would be most grateful.

Many thanks

Royale RP26 ex Rushen Green -Fernando Ribeiro

Hi there, many thanks those who kindly put me in touch with David Brown about Fernando Ribeiro's Van Dieman.

Could anyone help me with another 2 cars please? I am looking to see if Fernando's Royale RP26 is still out there somewhere. He raced this car in the 1980 season, it was owned by Royale but run for Fernando by Rushen Green Racing. Alan Cornock has told me just today that it was chassis no. 90, and that he thinks it was sold to someone in Scandanavia after the season.

If anyone knows where this chassis is now, either here or abroad that would be really helpful.

Also at the end of the 1980 season Fernando ran in the Festival in a Crossle (I'm guessing it was a 32f), does anyone know if this was a works car and it this one is still out there too.

Many many thanks, Al.

Unlikely to be a works car if a 32F unless it was ex- Nigel Mansell or something. The 40 and then the 45F were the current models by 1980.

Ok that makes sense, 40 or 45F, many thanks. I'm not sure if it was a works car at all yet - I'm still trying to find more out on these cars if anyone can help further.
