Super5000 Series Is Go??
Story Here
A Supercar engine, Albins transaxle.. in a bespoke, modern chassis...
Would likely have been super quick.. had Supercar continued..

Is this the correct place for this type of thread? Maybe more appropriate in the open wheel section.

Did the demo happened?
The mob at Supercars seemingly doing what they do best, it's been the same tune for 20 years...
Why the hell would Supercars be trying to launch an open-wheel category almost exactly the same as one already recently proposed and having had all the groundwork done?

Dumb idea and good on Roland for publicly poo pooing it.
The formula thunder concept is fantastic. Far better than a used parts dumping ground.

Depends whether we're discussing the defunct series or the Supercar involvement in it.
Thread is posted under the latter, so it's fine here.
In any case, there isn't a forum for open-wheel not-happening-series...

Does any of this come as a surprise? I'm sure that when FT5000 first broke cover, a Super5000 version was announced..
The interesting takeaway that I got from the two articles was that CAMS see it as a F. Libre car; and Warburton claims that they have kept the Category Management Rights....those two statements don't seem to mesh.

Duly noted.
Applying this approach - does that mean anything that supercars or Australian Touring cars has involvement in can be posted and discussed in this area of the forum?
I do recall a few threads unceremoniously removed due to be not being strictly 'Australian Touring cars' .

That's not terribly descriptive!
21 gun salute
Marching band
Cheerleaders
Input from an elected official
Street parade
A ribbon cutting...
These are the kinds of things we can work with
