Not exactly, there is ways of extending it depending on light conditions.
There's also penalties if you're not fast enough through your overs.

Tha race is left a sour taste in my mouth tbh. Regulations couldn't be clearer regarding the spinning of the wheels, it's a clear penalty that doesn't need any post race investigating and a penalty for a driving infringement that makes no difference is a bit weak.

The rule is that the wheel can't do more than a FULL rotation.

11.8.8.1 Where the S&TD grants such approval, the wheels must stop rotating prior to the
Car being lowered to the ground. For the sake of clarity, the wheels must not be
rotating while the Car is being lowered to the ground.

Of which they were.

There were 2 moves of the rear wheels, one when it clunked into gear, another when it was about to drop. Super close call. And no winners with the great unwashed either way

Dunno what's happening at DJRTP lately, but Scotty Mac is starting to look a bit like Mark Winterbottom. Races straight as an arrow, and seems to let the protagonists pass just a little too easily. Needs to get a bit of mongrel into him, and race harder and tougher, and be a bit more hungry / hellbent for the win.

Well one way or another that race is going to cause a lot of upset. What is the point of penalties that don’t penalise anyone? Shades of the wrist slap Whincup got last year after he fed McLaughlin onto the grass at 200kmh.
McLaughlin did very well not to give everyone a spray after the end. Contrasted massively with SVG growing and now almost Schumacheresque ability to believe he doesn’t ever do anything wrong.
You know the category is in trouble when the bloke making the most sense after the race was Richie Stanaway...

Not much you can defend against as you're hit up the rear and pushed out of the way.

Can't argue with that. He's very clearly at ( or past ) the point of not caring if he upsets someone because they can't handle the truth.
If he didn't have bad muck he wouldn't have any. Is he sticking around next year?

Have only watched the replay not the race, but I am not sure that penality was warranted - not sure 2 cars were going to fit side by side there even without Ritchie's stupidity.

What's he supposed to do though?? Holdsworth immediately in front of him jumped on the brakes when he realised he was sticking his nose in a gap that was closing, and Richie was RIGHT behind him and of course made light contact. Dunno how it was deserving of a penalty for Richie, and maybe for anyone? Sometimes **** just happens, but race control seem hell-bent of nailing someone for every single little thing.

Funny how it seems so often to be Ritchie in those situations though.

Its one of the joys of being down the back of the field. Most of the incidents/accidents are usually from about P10 down. But that notwithstanding he does appear to be involved in his fair share.
