Well if Bob is stooping to posting Aussie Specials, I will add a few more as they seemed to spark interest last time.... and its a bit different from the norm. Sorry they are mostly paddock type shots rather than the action shots Bob usually purveys
Im on dodgy ground straightaway as this is a 1958 PRAD which has a bit of a Euro sounding name unless it is initials for something else. Im saying its Aussie because I know this one has a Holden motor, a "Grey" IIRC and it doesnt get more Aussie than that. (although I am sure 'him from Luton' will claim some sort of local to him influence in the engine dept. He would be wrong though because they are more derived from the pre-war Buick straight 6) More useless info.... Why were they called a Holden Grey? Because the blocks were all painted grey. First used in the 1948 215-48 "Humpy" and a popular engine for the local specials at the time. The #57 is a Thompson Special and the #92 is the MG "Regah" Special Last edited by E.B; 23 Jan 2022 at 06:18. |
