The Monterey Sportscar Championship, ALMS final race of the season preliminary entry list is up:

No Peugeot on the list but still 38 entries so far.

Interesting. No works Ginetta-Zytek, no Peugeot. Continuance of Creation, Corsa, the extra Penske RS Spyder. Addition of a 3rd Risi Ferrari (for Brix?). Bell Motorsports and ECO still on that list - one must wonder whether either will show up.

Would like to see those two missing P1s from Petit back!

Why Peugeot was expected to do Laguna anyway?

Oops - read it too fast. In my senile brain, 'why' was 'was'...

There is a third Ferrari due to Krohn buying/renting a ride. Originally, Krohn was to do Sebring, Houston, and Petit. But since Houston was cancelled, they wanted to race a different race and Laguna would be that race?

Also, not sure if it's still mathematically possible, but it could help Ferrari steal the mfr's title away from Porsche.

I believe it is possible, but Ferrari would have to finish one-two at both races I believe. Or maybe even 1, 2 & 3, both highly unlikely.

Its very do-able, as there is a 19pt gap and 55pts (max) available. So we shall see.

If 1-2s will do it, I agree, if they need a 1-2-3, I doubt it as the third Ferrari with a good chance will be hard to come by.

Wish Risi had a 3rd Ferrari for PLM too...that would improve the chances. Alas, Ferrari-contracted drivers would be in short supply anyway with the FIA Nogaro conflict. Could always bring some wildcards back though - Brix/Ortelli/TBA would be fine...maybe someone bizzaro like Christian Pescatori would have fit there.

All the same, I think there are 3 strong Ferraris over the PLM distance, but they'll need luck from Porsche. With the Risi/Krohn car's competitiveness destroyed by the funder, and only one (semi)pro in the #73, it's going to take good runs from the 2 leading cars and a strong showing from Aucott in the JMB car. He's been improving but Road Atlanta could be a curveball. His partners (Dauodi/Kaffer) don't lack pace though!

The third Risi Ferrari has now disappeared from the entry list at Monterey as well. Now, even if the 5 Ferraris in the race finish 1-5, Porsche can finish 6th and still win the Manufacturers Points Title. However, there's still hope that Lord Drayson will pull off the upset and get up into 6th with a Porsche no higher than 7th Ferrari would win 215-214. How about that!?

The #30 Intersport Lola has been removed as well, but that was pretty much expected. Anyone know if the tub was a write off or if they just don't have the time/parts to fix it right now.

Kai has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
That's disappointing that neither Peugeot nor LNT will be at Laguna seeing as their cars are already in the states and they didn't crash at out of Petit. Hoped I'd see them, I'd expect LNT to at least have made the trip, they usually go to Laguna.
