The plain white with just numbers and no sponsors really seems to make people double take over here in the states. Sorry no pics but ill work on getting some.

This is my toy - currently the front end is apart and new struts, shocks etc on order as well as data logging for the engine. A little bit of a tidy up on the front guard and some new stickers, a new cage to go in, and she'll be ready for '05... I just wish the money tree would start dropping a few dollars !!

Very nice. But perhaps one reasonably sized pic would have been better?

Top one looks good to me. I've flagged it up to the forum mods and they'll deal with it.
Is the spec group 2? |

Personally I find the Skull and Crossbones offensive! (That was what you meant wasn't it?)

whilst many of us have such exemplary taste, there are equally soeme blimmin awful colour schemes, and hideously untasteful designs out there, how about a thread for some of those ?

Well its time for my retro 1960's look on my car (I'll post a pic later - It was in MN a few weeks ago in the BRDC MC piece). My vee is the Ex Brian Henton (& Niki Lauda?) Austro Porsche. I have a very different look to the car in that I had the bodywork made by a Dodgem manufacturer, so my Gel coat is a very sparkly metallic blue. This year I just ran it as best I could with a few modern stickers on, Demon Tweeks etc... for next year I want it to look the nuts.
No sponsorship whatsoever, nothing that is non 1960's - so no 750MC bage, no Tweeks - the AHS stickers will stay but be moved around and made a bit better. Also I'm gong to have proper rear bodywork (currently I just have bit of GRP that let it meet the regs). But the real cherry is the white nose band going on it - so it will look great. Question is being a historic in a modern series do I run numbers with or without a roundel? I cant decide! |

I've heard of both happening before but I'm going to call the historic defence - "but its not in period!"
Then if they insist I will ask them for a 1965 club sticker.... Last edited by ss_collins; 17 Dec 2004 at 11:21. |

I think you should go for the simple look. With that paint job it will look great.

White nose band, porsche sticker, good rear bodywork and NO (i mean it) demon tweeks stickers.
As for roundals...I'm not entirely sure! |
