My Doc charged me £35 this year. The receptionist was adamant that the medical would be between £60 and £90, due to the cost of a LGV medical. My doc looked at the cost, decided that it was a bit rich to charge me full whack for 15 minutes work.

While he was at it, he checked me out a bit more.

I went there expecting the ECG as I'm now hit 40. Then re-read the form to see that you no longer need one at 40 any more. I wonder why that is? And I didn't see it announced in Motorsport Now. That saved me another £50!

He did say he's heard that Kettering General Hospital do (racing) driver's medicals.... perhaps it's due to the proximity of Rockingham? And they do them cheap (in comparison with some GP's)

Just been and booked a medical for thursday. It's going to be £80 according to the receptionist. I reckon that I could get it done cheaper elsewhere, but tied to having to get it done during school half term as they only do them on weekdays.
