But, since RF_Racer doesn't seem to be rushing to defend his bold claim, let me tell you that I have several friends (and other ppl I know) who go to Bulgaria for vacation and business reasons, and they have never had any problems security-wise... I dare say Bulgaria is not riskier than most countries.

Probably a case of generalization. I can't imagine it being any worse than Brazil.
