some local commentators mentioned it during a broadcast
it was somewhat obsolete with eurosport news + internet .. not to mention annoying

British Eurosport are now advertising their HD service, even though it is not available in this country

I heard there was a thing in Hi - Fi magazine recently that said Sky would be announcing new HD channels in 4 weeks, hopefully Eurosport will be one of them...

Word is that Eurosport HD is currently testing from a Sky HD transponder, so it may be coming soon. I have heard launch on or around July 16th rumoured

Yes,I just noticed the extra channel on the EPG.Perhaps we can have reports-will it be worth my white investing in a new HD ready TV and the necessary Sky box? Is it the same programes as British Eurosport or the International version which is sometimes better.

Bit late I know, but am I correct in saying the WTCC race from Brands Hatch was in HD, I do know it is shot in HD (well according to Martin Haven).

If it was upscaled it was the best I've seen, the PQ was significantly better than the regular Eurosport station.

Actually I don't think it was HD as there was no "Full HD" DOG on the bottom right of the screen during it. It's odd because the race in Valencia earlier this year did have the Full HD DOG, unfortunate the channel was not available in the UK then.

But yes, even when the picture is just upscaled it looks very good, especially compared to the standard definition Eurosport.

There was no 'Full HD' logo or HD info on the programme guide, but it did look HD rather than upscaled.

ha! As much as I love MotorsTV (at least their programmes are on when they say they will be!), the quality of the picture is awful. The only rival for Eurosport in that department.

Imagine HD MotorsTV. Just imagine.
