"Fisher said the team owner Dennis Reinbold will return to a one-car team next year, leaving her future as murky now as it was a year ago.

“We’ve got to have something exciting because otherwise you can’t sell what we did this year,” she said. “I’m working on creating that and working towards that. We’ll just have to see what happens.”

Sarah recanted her statement that D&R will be one car next year. Dennis and Robby always base their effort on how much money they can raise. They likely won't know how much money they have and therefore how many cars they can run until March. Remember, the decision to run a full-time second car this year didn't come until after the Homestead open test.

As for Vision. It is very clear that only one of their cars is properly funded through sponsorship. The second will definitely stay as running a second car has drastically helped that team. The third car will probably only run if they can find sponsorship or if the potential remains that the field will end up short.

Yes, it was very 'timely'. I agree it wouldnt make sense to write off a 2nd car before the final race of 2007, but there must be some feeling that it is unlikely for Fisher to be making such thoughts public.

One of the commentators, was it Garry Lee on the International field mentioned that Vision could only be a 1 car operation for 2008

stradlin21 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Vision have confirmed one car for next season, a second is highley likley but a third will only probably be for Indy and watch out for Davey getting that ride

Dreyer and Reinbold have pretty much confirmed they are going to be a one car team, Rice was on a years contract but that's expected to be renewed, Sarah will miss out

So that's two cars down for next season BUT

I’ve returned from my jolly’s and my contacts stateside had lots of juicy goss for me

Roth has confirmed two cars full time next season

Tom Anderson is HIGHLEY likley to enter at LEAST one car with Fernandez Racing as they still own lots of IRL equipment and are eager to get back on track

Eddie Cheever has also rumbled that he is planning to enter a car for the road courses at least with his nephew driving it

SAMAX motorsports are looking to expand their programme as they have vast backing from Citgo and are looking at running a two car team, watch out for Tomas Enge or Chris Festa to be in the mix for that obe

Plus there is all the usual stuff about PDR going full time, perhaps this time they could make it

Herb is still knocking about and it looking at a short oval schedule next season to add to his super speedway plans

Beck owns lots of IRL equipment and could run a limited schedule and there is various other people exploring there options (including a surprise ownership attempt from a certain Mr B Lazier, no joking, watch this space)

Not looking to bad for next season to be honest

But for all you IRL fans just remember this, no matter how bad it gets – it could be worse, it could be champ car!

Lol!

Isn't Sarah's husband the head Mechanic? I wonder how that relationship is going to work out

I don't think you are going to see any part timers if the irl goes to full season welfare checks and eliminates prize money outside of indy.

If that comes off, yes not looking bad.

If it doesnt, add to that two teams downsizing, Franchitti, Hornish leaving. Doesnt really inspire huge confidence
