Liverpool's scouting network spotted an Iraqi striker. After a trial, Houllier signed him. His first game was as a sub in an Anfield derby game with Ev****n.
With 20 minutes to go, Everton were leading 4-0 [far fetched I know, but it is a joke]. Houllier beckoned the Iraqi to get ready. He came on, scored five goals in 20 minutes and the original mighty reds won 5-4. The Kop loved him. After the Sky TV interviews and a plunge in the team bath, he rang his mother. "Hi mum, I've had a brilliant day. I made my debut as a sub in the derby game and came on for the last 20 minutes. We were 4-0 down and I scored 5 goals, we won 5-4, the fans love me and I've been on telly and everything. How was your day?" "Dreadful" mum replied. "Your gran got mugged, your dad was shot, your sister was raped and the house was burgled and ransacked and it's all your fault" "My fault mum?" "Yes. You insisted on bringing us over to Liverpool. Feel free to use this as a start for a 'Jokes Thread' on the 'soon to be activated clubff1600.co.uk I couldn't use Bolton in the joke, as even an Iraqi striker wouldn't bring his family over to Bolton |

Afternoon,
Sorry been in a board meeting all morning. The SOM section should be up by the end of the day. We then need to pad out the other sections over the next couple of weeks. Ian Sowman is doing a grand job sending through press releases for the site. By the end of April the site should be 100% finished with sections on how to get to circuits and even the best places to watch. We will start with SOM, CCFF and NWFF. |

And I should add that Matt Beer is doing an equally grand job with news from Wiltshire.

Update - www.clubff1600.co.uk
Just had a meeting with Peter, the developer at Absolute who is in control of the website and it is looking really good. All the images have been updated from Paul Sands and will be live in the morning. We are just waiting for the server to accept asp (databases). This should be complete in the morning (takes 24 hours for the server to refresh). As soon as the server will accept "asp" we will be able to start loading the news updates (will take an hour or so). Then send it live. The most time has been taken up with the CMS (Content Management System)- so that we have an easy to use CMS that Ian Sowman, Matt Beer and David Bailey can use from any internet connection to update news, reviews and results. We have a section on each driver in the championship that will be easily updated. We will take the information from the media sheets that you supplied to Ian Sowman. I would also like to put a picture of either the driver or your car. If you would like to be included in this section please can you email me a mug shot or image of your motor. Regards Chris Hodgen (Redracer77) |

The fact that the holding page isn't there any more is a good sign right? a sign that something is moving ?

ClubFF1600.co.uk is live at the moment. We are putting as much data on as possible at the moment and also playing with font sizes and images as well as how the document looks once opened. So you will notice a lot of problems but we are just sorting them out as we speak. Such as the text on the news stories is only half the page etc etc
We have only put the news stories on the home page at the moment but each championship has it's own news page as well as the home page covering "all" Championships We are getting there!!! |
