World Formula advice
I'm looking for a few opinions and a bit of advice. Around 10 years ago I raced for a few seasons at Wombwell in 100 Britain class which disappeared not long after I packed in.
I've been thinking of having another go at it and a friend has offered me an almost brand new Birel World Formula kart with spares, wets etc. He bought it with the intension of racing but did a days practice and chickened out! I'm aware that this kart wont be as quick as my 100 was but it's the competition side I crave and equal machinery appeals. My questions are, is this World Formula class any good, is it popular and here to stay? Any other advice would be appreciated as the sport has changed a lot since 1996!! Cheers Doug |

where would you want to ace, what tracks?
Formula Blue is big in the north west, all weights run on same time, heavier guys have bigger carb restrictors for them, lighter guuys have smaller ones power to weight is spot on equal!!! have a look at www.planetkarting.co.uk |

Doug - Birel still the best IMHO. Buy it, run in WF (probably against some Prokarts) then when you want more speed convert it to a Rotax.

Yes indeed , altho you will need rotax exhaust etc and mounts - also move the sprocket outboard. |
