115cc tkm ign timing help

hello all, got a question about the ignition timing on my tkm extreme.

the engine is equpped with the old motoplat ign system and the timing is currently set at about 1.85 mm BTDC .... is that right?

from what i've read on the net this morning the motoplat system should be set between 2-3mm BTDC and the newer pvl system at 1.5 - 2.1mm BTDC

seems wrong to me or am i missing something

cheers all.
