Dan Fielden has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Unique Karting Event next year

Im sure some of you already know but next year the Isle Of Man Kart Racing Association will be running the 21st Peel Kart G.P around the houses and pretty soon the entries will be opening.

This is a brilliant event which consists of 4 great days of pure action, thrill, sportsmanship and everything you would desire in a karting event. I have done it the last two years and it is brilliant. Turning of Peel prom up stanley raod at 70 MPH is a feeling that you cant get anywhere else in the U.K I really recommend you consider it.

All you need is a National A Kart liecesnse, Proof that you have raced at 3 differennt Venues, and you must be 18+.

If you need more infomation then go on the i.o.m.k.r.a. website its got all the info you need

Just a Thort

#15 tkm 4/ should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sounds good, we have been thinking about it for the past few years, but they dont run a class in TKM 4 stroke. Hopefully they will this year as alot of us 4stroke, super 1 lads have all stated our intrest to racing there to Wesley Downling (a native to I.O.M)

Yer wez is on of my best mates and i race with him every other week when he aint at s1. He says that because it doesn't clash with Warden Law so i think that Alan and Glen are coming over with the awning so there will be a good sized TKM grid. It should be great.

the ICC grids have been pretty small, we've been told, so not really worth the journey unless they're larger next year..

I've been to the IOMGP the past three years and the grids are quite big in the Rotax and pro kart classes....but smaller the grid the more fun.

But you can always hire out karts if your worried about ruining your own. And don't let the fatel accident last year put you off.

The classes that are run in the IOMGP are:

Rotax Max
Rotax Max Heavy
Prokarts (Lights & Heavies)
Gearboxes (125,250 & ICC)
Bilands - worth mentioning though those grids consist of about 3 people.

I maybe go next year and this time do better cos this year i was getting used to the new chassis.

Anyone got a link to their website? Also do the licence restrictions have to be met when you enter or when you actually turn up? I've only raved at Forest Edge and Blackbushe, although I guess I raced at two different Forest Edge tracks, so I guess I am ok there.

I'm still wondering how many 125's will be there, as we will probably be going, but I don't fancy only having 4 other guys to 'race.'

(btw the winner of this years heats, Daniel Dutler, I beat to a club championship this year. The winners trophys look nice.. )

Isle of Man Kart Racing Association

as requested! Pretty much you will get all your info from there.

And you mean Danial Butler....He raced in 125's and Rotax's this year in the isle of man. Not too sure though how he got on.

Its not like circuit driving, you have to be very self diciplined at that circuit. I remember a heat last year when i spun out of the lead and i was pushing right at the limit and i turned into the first corner and it braught a tear to my eye! You need to give the track the respect it demands or it will take a big bite out of you! great fun tho.

Danial Butler was the first ICC (but not 125) home, according to the results on the site you kindly posted a link to Jenny.

Great, that's just what I enjoy in a circuit Dan.
I've raced on another circuit that must demand the same ammount of respect - Cadwell Park

cadwell and Peel are totally different....

Peel you feel the bumps, drains etc... etc... and they hurt. Not sure about Cadwell but im sure cadwell is a much smoother track than peel.

I've been looking for a video clip of the Peel GP online to no avail via Google video - anyone know a link where I can download it? I know it used to be on the ARKS video but I could do with it in mpeg or avi if poss? Thanks

Also do they still hold a street race around Hull or any other UK towns?

I think Hull stopped in the early 90s. They had a street race in Northern Ireland at the turn of the century, not sure if it's still on the go.

Ah right, sorry, copied the abbreviated link, hence the ellipsis in the middle of it.
