Oh good, I was worried we wouldn't have a pointless SC bunching. I'm glad the race director has clarified that we will indeed pointlessly bunch the cars again.

Something to look for at the next Bentley pit stop: the rear suspension is softer than a very soft thing. There is significantly more droop than at the front. I suppose that's a consequence of it being a boat.

Yes, of course! SRO have decided this is the way to go.
And the race director even announced there will be a Safety Car "to regroup the cars". Didn't he see they weren't grouped before? John Hinhaugh and Graham Goodwin were right. The Spa 24 hour race has been ruined. |

Indeed, they've done that since the SLS days. Most of the cars spark a bit but by contrast, GTEs don't seem to spark at all.

Why have FCY, they may as well just use the safety car.

The justification for the SC from the commentators was absolutely nonsense there.
"Those are the rules in Europe". No, those are just SRO rules. "It means everyone is a line so less chance of tripping over each other". No, come on. That's just stupid. |

With Land in the lead, when do they announce that Land have been cheating with refueling?

Regulate everything and you take away all opportunities for strategy and everything relies on luck, good or bad. Just like we're seeing now. Is this racing or a lottery? |

Stint lengths should be regulated by a fuel tank size, not by a hard time limit. That allows for the strategy to come into play. Fuel and tyres should not be changed at the same time, again, to make the strategy important. Minimum pit stop times should be removed for the Pro class (Pro/Am and below it had a valid reason).
When you write everything into the regulations with hard time limits then everyone does the exact same thing. |
