Abu Dhabi GT Meeting

Does anyone know what the support races are for the GT meeting in Abu Dhabi ? I've been on their website but the only information of forthcoming events is Drag Racing. I hope that does not mean all the marshals have to wear a dress and high heels? Lol

Seems to be a total lack of info for this meeting - it's not even listed on the FIA GT website!

The GP2 Asia season concludes with the races supporting next week's Bahrain Grand Prix and therefore won't support the GTs

That's better- the official GT1 World Championship site! Seemed odd that the FIA GT site had Silverstone as the first race but if you searched the news pages, it said the season kicked off in AD. And they wonder why they get no spectators........

Well I never, it was nice to be proved wrong. Got the letter from BARC on Friday, I can't make it so good luck and have a bloomin good time to all those that do go. The circuit really is something else.

based on previous trips (and the information that appears on here), I would have thought about 10-14 days?

My leave request has already been sent in for work - just waiting for the boss to approve it.

The invitation said closing date for receipt of forms is Friday 12 March. So I would think that we are unlikely to hear anything before middle to end of next week.

The receipt is friday,so the selection process will will prob start on monday.
previous trips have been around the 10 day mark to notification.
once the selection has been made and if you are picked, be patient when waiting for info ect, as things are constantly changing and in AD their weekend is Fri/Sat, so in theory there is only 4 days (mon - Thur) available for communication between AD & BARC.

I'd quite like to know myself. Saying this isn't going to help methinks.

That is a very profound statement, and one I am sure the Psychiatrist will be happy to help you with.

Would this be the "Inner Self" you would like to know, or just yourself as an individual?

And I wouldn't worry, I expect that many people's email is linked directly to this thread so as soon as anything arrives in people's inbox we will know about it here.

I want to know more about the man under the mask, the inner workings, find out all the problems and fix them... *falls off couch*

That's done it now... If we end up in Abu Dhabi we'll end up being sent back for being far too silly.
