Well on a positive note it should be interesting to see the Guards Trophy cars at Cadwell.

And a relatively early finish on Sunday will be enjoyed by some so long as events of the day do not cause any slippage of the timetable.

Only 7 cars entered for the Guards race at the end of May.

By a distance my favourite circuit and that distance is 218 miles
If it finishes on time I might be able to decamp and get home in the light.

Same distance for me and my last 2 visits to the Wolds meeting ended up with a marathon drive back on Sunday so this year I'm staying over Sunday night as well. HSCC, Cadwell Park, June - glorious circuit, best in the UK for spectating

Just 150 miles for me , but staying over Friday and Saturday nights locally to ensure I miss nothing ...some time at Hall Bends for qualifying, and Mountain and ..err...Coppice for races . I plan to bag my usual pole position parking slot at foot of Mountain bright and early . Nowhere nicer than Cadwell on a summer day ,and much as I enjoyed Members' Meeting , and will enjoy Silverstone Classic , neither is as nice as the Lincolnshire Wolds finest .

Impressive Historic F3 entry.

Indeed - but dear oh dear the Guards Trophy entry is embarrassing . And in recent years we have had double heat FF1600 - and the entry is good but not as good as in recent years. Why is that , when other classes - FF2000 for one - are on the up ? Or is that the reason ?

Guards entry is somewhat limited by the track licence and as such is non-championship? Thus maybe not such an attractive proposition for owners but perhaps still worth trying out as a one off to understand what, if any, attraction it may offer for the future.

Would have been OK with about 12 entries (given the constraints) in my opinion. And a bit more variety I suppose.

The track licence certainly doesn't mandate SEVEN cars.

And to think I once saw a full grid of Tuscan Challenge cars at Cadwell. It was mayhem , however ...

The Tuscan grids were great wherever they raced but Cadwell! A bit crowded through the Hall bends I expect

Perhaps it should be merged with something else, as a separate race within a race; Historic Road Sports, perhaps?

As for Tuscans racing at Caldwell, blimey! Although a full grid of Jaguars racing in the JEC series at Caldwell as part of a CSCC is fairly awe inspiring, particularly with all 4 wheels off the ground as they go over The Mountain.

I recall the TVRs not even making it to Coppice on the first lap , bodywork flying into the spectator areas etc . Obviously, I could not have it liked it more ... but they weren't asked back.

F3 there was pretty special too...

The HSCC info points out they can only invite the SRA and SRB classes.

SRC and SRD are not covered by the licence.
