Lotus Esthi
I saw this car been tested on this week edition of Auto Motor und Sport TV on Deutsche Welle channel, and now I want to know yours point of view: Is this better than original?

better than the original what? Elise?
i like the simplicity of the Elise, and placing a proper motor in that car ala Honda Integra R is the way to spice the elise up and keep it simple. this Esthi for certain appears more aggressive and a keeper, but I don't know, perhaps in all black. www.sunspeed.com |

How can more power possibly be a bad thing?

more power isn't bad- just a better package for is i think is in the Honda Motor, supercharge and put all the goddies on it, then you'll get about 275 hp and it'll be street legal and reliable as a garbage truck

I'd vote for a higher power Elise anytime, but the name ... sounds like somebody sneeze.

It looks like a rear panel has fallen off.
I prefer the ordinary elise (which I'll mention again I've driven!!!) Last edited by sunflower; 17 Jul 2003 at 06:25. |

They had it in Evo (I'm sorry, but it's GOOD!! it's the ONLY magazine that counts) and they took it on an Autobahn with a Ruf Turbo, the MTK Twin-engined Audi TT thing, something else and a Zonda. The Esti managed to crack 190mph if I remeber correctly.

Was I dreaming, or did I see a picture of an Elise accompanied by the words "6-cylinder bi-turbo-engine" ?!
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think there possibly are times when more power is a bad thing... Tristan, there's no need to apologise for evo, he's not that bad. Oh you, mean the magazine... |

Leave poor old Evo alone - it's not nice to pick on someone on their birthday!
Happy birthday, evo |

I think the Elise is fantastic, but the new sneeze looks like a kit car.

So when is the Elise II going to finally be released in North America, and are Lotus going to pull a Mitsubishi Evo and not make it to Canadian Crash Test specs?
