Just been having a look over on DSC and they have a few more details on the car:-
They report that four versions of the Gordon Murray designed supercar have been built, for “marketing purposes” The spy shot in Autosport actually had David Coulthard at the wheel, (Having just had quick look, yes the person driving the car looks like DC) There source reports that “The car will be raced”. From what the article says it is undersood that a very well known British GT driver has been carrying out much of the development, and he is apparently very keen to race it. Gordon Murray (the cars designer) is also keen to see the car race, so perhaps it will be seen on the race tracks as soon as 2004. It is also understood that two of cars have apparently been sent to Monaco, for potential buyers to take a look at. Maserati ,Aston Martin and Mercedes at Le Mans next year? Now that would be a site to see |

But isn't it the case that a) forced-induction engines can only be four litres in the FIA GT Championship and at Le Mans, and that b) supercharging isn't allowed?
It would seem an odd way to promote a car by racing it with a completely different engine to that offered in the road car. An LM-GTP, however, with SLR styling cues (a la 1997/98 CLK) might make sense. |

Well it certainly does make sense to me. Now all we have to do is see if it makes sense to the ones that could potentially make it happen.

lol, yes unfortunately it seems that the only way to guarantee that something WON'T happen is for it to make absolute sense that it SHOULD...sigh...and yet we keep coming back, lol
