All quiet on the Aston Front
Has anyone heard or seen the new Aston yet? I hope its not been quitely put the sleep.
If they plan to race at sebring the car need to be turning a wheel pretty soon. I expect they will miss most of next year to test, turnup a few times and hope to sell some in 06 hope to be proved wrong. Last edited by Aysedasi; 10 Oct 2004 at 16:17. |

They showed a nice commitement at Le Mans Classic when they introduced the DB9. They maybe wait for the end of the FIA-GT championship...

I am going around Prodrive on December 1st. can't wait to hopefully see the Aston being made. Of course, it might be away testing but hopefully it will be there.
Can't wait! |

I have now seen 2 DB9's, one parked up at Snetterton a month or so ago and I also saw one driving through Wakefield (my home town) at lunch time and they are stunning motor car's close up.

The new 'baby' A-M (DB5?) with the V6 motor is being tested (road version) as we speak.. Looks like a very good proposition for a GT car (like that will happen!)....very short overhangs, a bit like the new C6R ..
Does anyone believe that the DB9 race car will be ready for Sebring???? |

I have just spotted over on DSC that the car has been tested by Darren Turner at Millbrook last Tuesday and again last Saturday. The car is going to be offical launched tomorrow.

actually the new baby aston martin will have a 4.3 V8 motor. but the DBR 9 should hit tracks in december. no need to be pessimistic. they confirmed that they will be at sebring so they won't kill the car

I think this Ford cost cutting is not hitting the program that hard, if anything Ford didn't pay much for it from the beginning....
As long as Prodrive get funding from somewhere I am sure they can get the job done, afterall that's how they did the 550GTS, and that was pretty successful.... |

Accoording to turbotv.be Audi UK and Veloqx Motorsport have definitely split.
Maybe a renewed coorportation between Veloqx and Prodrive for developing/racing the DBR9? |
