I have no records of the engines used but in 1970 the cars made 3 world sports car appearances at Brands Hatch, Targa Florio and Nurburgring retiring in all 3 races and being driven by Peter richardson, Jeremy Richardson, Pete Brown,John Green and Alistair Cowin. 6 appearances in the British Sports Car championship with Jeremy Richardson driving, 4 retirements at Thruxton, Silverstone, Crystal Palace and Brands Hatch, a 4th at Snetterton and 7th at Croft in the Interserie race.
Martin Raymond also drove in the Motoring News GT series with a 2nd at Brands.

Jeremy Jackson should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Jeremy Richardson's car ran with an FVA throughout 1970. I was at the Croft Interserie race and the programme has FVA, and Autosport reports have it for the balance of the season

By 1972, Autosport has Peter R with a 1300cc BDA for the opening Interserie race at the Nürburgring, and then Peter & Jeremy with a 1600cc BDA at the Nürburgring 1000kms, which would seem to confirm Simon's Vila Real reference.

He was runner-up in the Championship and won the 1300cc class. I'm not sure about the specific engine, but have some programmes in the attic I can check.

The Vila Real entry was Martin Raymond's blue Mk3 fitted with a Geoff Richardson FVC, July 9, 1972.
A preview of this entry was published in Motoring News, June 29, 1972 issue, showing Martin and the new car at a Snetterton shake down session.
