According to Autosport magazine,
LC500 GT500 has a character that if you use used front splitter, it will become a heavy understeering. Team Cerumo (#38) had been suffered this trouble first few race in last year. |

According to Subaru motorsport magazine column,
-GTA had issued a special bulletin allowing the louver and lip in the body opening to JAF-GT cars as a measure against heat for summer race (Thailand, Fuji, Autopolis, SUGO). 1)You can add louver or lip up to 50 mm high to the (bonnet) opening for heat dissipation. 2)The engine cannot be seen from above, but it can be seen up to 50% only in summer. https://www.subaru-msm.com/2019/sgt/column/2 |

jp.motorsport.com reports Team Studie BOB Suzuki interview.
https://jp.motorsport.com/bes/news/2...t-new/4491898/ https://jp.motorsport.com/bes/news/b...uture/4492083/ *The running cost of GT4 is about half that of GT3. *Team Studie's GT4 project might be finished by 2019 season. Main reason is F82 M4's production is finished by this season. We want to use motor sports for BMW's PR and marketing. In that sense, if the base vehicle is not the current production vehicle, the attraction is halved. *As both GT4 and GT3 are no longer production vehicles, we are wondering how to plan for participation after 2020. *However, the relationship with BMW Japan and BMW Motorsport has become stronger in recent years. *BMW would not be willing to suspend our participation for a year. *However, I do not know yet whether we will race by using M6GT3 or using M4GT4. *It is prompted by BMW that we should return to SGT. *BMW Motorsport believes that SGT has higher priority than Blancpain GT Asia. They regret that there are no BMW cars in the SGT. *Of course we, as a team Studie, would like to continue racing activity, but it is bothering what to do in 2020. |

They will never participate in GT500 unless they are in a position to win.

And BMW Motorsport won't do much to help them as they withdrawn from Asia a couple of years ago.

Clicccar reports why Otsu re-challenges JF3.
https://clicccar.com/2019/07/18/885498/ Otsu experienced GT500 drive in pre-season test. However he couldn't drive with using downforce on first day. So he thought he had to learn about driving with using downforce in order to step up himself. GT3 car does not have so strong downforce. And it has an ABS system, so you must do a late braking and cornering, but in GT500 driving, you have to bear down the machine with downforce, so you have to turn without losing downforce. If you drive GT500 car in GT3 way, you will lose downforce in the corner. He feels F3 driving style is must for step up himself. |

Autosport magazine is reporting that an international team (KCMG) will participate in GT500 as the 6th car of Toyota next season.
(Total car number won't be increased.) http://www.as-books.jp/books/info.php?no=AST20190802 http://www.as-books.jp/books/preview.php?no=7138 Last edited by Japanese Samurai; 31 Jul 2019 at 07:24. |

Autosport web is reporting that new team will be KCMG.
And KCMG will tie-up with Toyota. However, there is a problem. Autosport has learned that Toyota will participate only by 6 cars next season. In a word, KCMG will replace an existence team. Replaced team might be a Team LeMans (worst results in BS user in 2018). However, they are now points leader. We need to pay attention to the future Toyota squad's battles. https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/508112?all |

Honestly, the Denso SARD Lexus has had pretty bad results these past couple seasons. KCMG, I wonder, will Kobayashi be placed in the car again since he's linked to KCMG in Super Formula?

Not surprised, honda shown huge steps forward in fuel/thermal efficiency of their F1 V6, surely much know how was shifted to SGT/FN engine as well. Toyota invovlment in WEC helped them to have the best engine in last seasons due basically the same reasons. Nissan has no F1/WEC programs and simply can't improve their knowledge. |

How about Team Tom's? Will they give up one of their cars so that KCMG can race as a Lexus/Toyota GT500 team?
Also, I was wondering when will Super GT increase the car numbers for their top class? |

Autosport web is reporting GT500 2020 silly season rumor.
https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/508304?all -There will be up to 4 races of schedule overlap between WEC and SGT in 2020. -WEC driver can not be used in SGT if the schedule is duplicated for two or more rounds. -Then, the Toyota squad will lose two drivers (Nakajima, Yamashita) next season. -One of them will be Ritomo Miyata, but the other is an uncertain. Sacha Fenestraz is a strong candidate. -On the other hand, in the Honda squad, Tsukakoshi, Daisuke Nakajima and Izawa, who were involved in the crash, have a danger of losing their seats. -Matsushita might return to Japanese race next season. |

Toms are very synonymous with Toyota so I’d be very surprised if they left in favour of KCMG |
