Thought that might be the case, 888 had the same with their engine builders a few years ago. Makes sense when you fund the R&D

Some how i think this is a step to the right for this team. MSR needs a lead driver to help move forward. There is plenty of senior talent they could have used and then have a young up and comer.. |

Pretty interesting to see very experienced drivers hanging up the helmet to take on commercial roles with growing teams.
Combined 40+ Bathurst starts between them but the game has been raised this year. Good for both of them to go out with a recent win under their belt. |

He’s being positioned to take a full-time drive with the squad in 2021, which could either come in a third car or as a replacement for De Pasquale. the team has admitted it could lose De Pasquale to one of the bigger squads in 2021, with DJR Team Penske a potential suitor. |

The image provided is the limit of the Sutton sponsorship.
Different major sponsor for Heimgartner in 2020. The brand was on Heimgartner's car in 2019. Will be revealed Thursday morning (tomorrow). |

Golding is announcing his plans for 2020 soon.
Hash tags has #v8sc? Is that a clue for a Supercars 2020 full time or part time drive? |

Nice. Not a bad looking rig, and good to see Ned take a step up on a multi year deal. I wonder if this forces the hand of Jim beam who I've heard are keen to be back in the series?

Heard a rumour that the VCAT testing was found to be flawed and will now be redone at a later date.

For all the ****ing around, surely it'd be just as easy (and far more definitive) to take some cars to a wind tunnel.

The teams produce a variety of parts which are expected to produce the given performance. If the teams in question didn't produce parts that work in the real world then the parity will not be there. Wind tunnel makes no difference at all. It is GOOD that the process has found this now. This season HAS to have at least a perception of equal performance between marques out of the gate. |

Are you sure?
The dude managing the process had about 15 years in F1, and maintains his connections. F1, among many others actually uses straight line running to validate wind tunnel and CFD work. So the assumption that wind tunnel is outright superior to straight line running is flat out wrong. Chip Ganassi famously has a tunnel he used for quite some time in the Indycar series: https://roadandtrack.kinja.com/the-s...bou-1678596274 If you wanna read it, it is used for coastdown tests, just like Supercars use. I reckon Chip could use a windtunnel if he wanted to.... |
