clk-lm should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
i bet chrysler is kicking themselves right now

after a spectaclar performance from doran dalara judd, i bet chrysler is thinking that they should have given lm another year in the "new" chasis. im almost sure that Oreca could have put on the same, or better, show doran did, and chrysler is a big enough company that they could easily develop a decent motor.

this is exactly why factories shoulnt sell off their unsucesful race cars, now they look incompetent.

Le Mans/ALMS is a bit stronger than Grand-Am though...

Too true. Grand-am is for the weak teams, who can't make it in the real sportscar world.

very true, under ACO rules the dalara would be allowed to run a diffuser, therefore creating more downforce for no drag penalty. i dont know how much a difference it would make, but if i were pushing buttons at chrysler, i wouldnt have pulled the plug on the le mans program.

That doesn't matter to the general car buying public. All they would know is that a Chrysler won Daytona. Most people don't know the difference between the series. Dodge got alot of milage out of the Vipers winning the Rolex and Chevy di the same with the Corvettes. I'm sure that Oreca could have won the race with a Chrysler motor.

Was it a god decision for Chrysler to pull out altogether?

The real fun will start if Oreca manage to drag it onto the podium in June, especially if its ahead of the Caddy's!

I don't think Chrysler particurally care. Their focus is on NASCAR, which is proabably why the project was canned anyway.

The Dallara is a really good car, though I still have doubts about the Judd. (Ok, one lasted, but others were throwing valves out).
