If Simona's money and marketability couldn't do it, wooden Frosty ain't gonna do it, even with the Bottle'O bucks. And what makes you think Roland needs to flog anything off to make it happen? Frosty would get paid a lot less than Lowndes.

Erebus Says No, New 888 ZB For Team18?

A pukka 888 support deal, and an owner willing to outlay the sponduli to keep the parts and people up to it would be a good place for Mr Winterbottom to land.

Presumably Mr Bright might already be lined up as codriver too..

In the world of hypotheticals...

A second 888-built car for MSR, to run alongside their soon-to-be-delivered 2018 Bathurst winnner...

Dragging along Bottle O, Orrcon Steel, Actron Air, Castrol, Bolle.. and friends..
To put a Stone Bros/Frosty world back together again..

And a 2 car team with feedback from 2 pilots, with 888-powered technical assistance..

And maybe Bottle O achieves 2 cars for the price of one, and BigMate ends up on a car and pilot that should be at the front of the field regularly

Or not..

A Charlie Schwerkolt-Matt Stone joint venture would be cool to see. Can see it with Mr Winterbottom for a year or two to setup the team and eventually becoming a Jnr/B team ala Torro Rosso or the Toll HSV Dealer Team.

The Brisbane-based team has officially declared its third Racing Entitlements Contract for sale, ending a three-year run operating three entries

If Dane decides to cut Triple Eight’s third entry, it would free up a Racing Entitlements Contract for 2019.

Those who have declared an interest in purchasing a REC include Kostecki Brothers Racing, which runs three ex-Triple Eight Holdens in the Dunlop Super2 Series.

At the alleged going price for a REC right now, would Mr Winterbottom be wise to take on one to run at 888 under his own power... ?

He hasn't got what it takes, commercially he's hopeless. He can't even read a script without looking like a Ken doll.

Plus I don't think he has the temperament anymore, maybe driving for PRA does that to you (I'm looking at you, Ritchie), but more and more he has these outbursts when things don't go his way.

If I was a sponsor, he wouldn't be my choice.
