Installing KMP paddle shifter

Hi everyone
I have a Speads Hayabusa and have just purchased a KMP paddle shifter kit that I want to install.
Has anyone any experience of installing one of these kits on a bike engined race car?
I have been quoted one week's work to install the kit which seems a tad on the high side.
I got the kit at a reasonable price so even with the work involved I am in pocket.
But I wouldn't mind having a go myself and the seller, a race team, have offered advice.
What do you guys think?
