debut for Super Black Racing in 2016, co-driving with Chris Pither in the Pirtek Enduro Cup series. He impressed on debut in Sandown, fighting his way from a pit-stop down up to 3rd with slick tyres on a damp track. His team were caught out by a safety car and would eventually drop to 17th and one lap down. In 2017 Stanaway competed in the Sydney round of the Super2 Series, winning the final race. He then drove in the Pirtek Enduro Cup with Cameron Waters, winning the Sandown 500 from pole position. They then lead the Bathurst 1000 before an incident on a restart after the safety car, breaking the rear wing. They repaired the car and they went on to finish 16th, 3 laps down. They also finished in 2nd the first race of the Gold Coast 600,

Triple Eight takes up the first two garages,

With Matt Stone Racing continuing its partnership with the Brad Jones Racing-run Tim Blanchard Racing entry,

Tekno has been paired with Team 18.
The two single-car, Triple Eight customer squads will share the boom and bay at pit entry; the Mark Winterbottom-driven Team 18 ZB in the end garage.

There is one less pit boom in the 2019 order due to the changes at Triple Eight and Tickford Racing.

2 less drivers who will not get a drive next year

Seems Mr. Davison is dropping the Zero from his number and racing under #23. Looks like the now former Nissan factory squad is removing bit by bit key Nissan identification. (Since #23 is an official factory number)

Yep, experience over youth. Interesting choice (I guess with le Brocq still wanted at Tekno, that le Brocq was never a 100% option). A steady driver (still proven to be a top 10 talent at Newcastle too), who won't do any dumb Stanaway things. Perhaps Bottle-O wanted a more established and marketable name?

This brings both Holdsworth and Davison into the Tickford roster, and gives them one of the older driver lineups out there!
