I'm not interested in buying a DSLR because they're expensive and heavy. I agree that iPhones take good videos, but the battery life would be a big concern. I'm looking for a smaller, dedicated camcorder and considering an older GoPro model that fits my budget. I'll definitely check reviews to find the best option, but I'm also open to suggestions from anyone who has experience with these types of cameras.

Yes it's hard to afford a proper camcorder and iPhones are limited in battery life. There are plenty of smaller cameras that do the job. I think an old GoPro would be a good investment

With a couple of good powerful battery packs for recharging on the go, that works now for me.

Hey, thanks for chiming in, @S griffin! I'm glad to hear you think an older GoPro could be a good option. I've heard the Hero5 is still pretty solid.
