Michelin-BS and temperature: inverted ratio?

As we all could see, yesterday Michelin-shod drivers took advantage of the cool temperature, making MS losing positions at the start, and preventing him from attacking Kimi right after the Sc periods.

If we consider that in the hottest races of the year BS have clearly prevailed, making Ferrari's win very easy, can then we say that the strenght ratio between the two tyre providers has inverted compared to last year?

hmm..this has been a general trend of Michelin tyres this year, and it has happened before this race.

Michelin tires warm up easily, and regain their optimum tire pressure/temperature relatively quicker than BS. Ferrari is left struggling and can't match the performance of their rivals after each restart, and the difference is significant (look at how easy Kimi/JPM overtake MS, and how fast Kimi open a gap after restart).

Star Sports commentator, who is one of Mclaren's test driver and GT racer, said that it takes ferrari-BS 3 laps to actually get up to speed and performance to match Michelin which will be at their best in 1 lap, giving Michelin runners a good headstart.

And its consistent as we can see. Michael has no trouble matching Kimi and even go quicker lap-for-lap after the 3 lap mark, but Kimi's devastatingly faster in the opening laps.

I still think that Michelin work (relatively) better in hot conditions. The thing that makes it less noticeable is that Ferrari and Bridgestone are just generally quicker everywhere.

Maybe the difference is less than elsewhere.

This is different from the effect we see when the Bridgestone's take longer to come in.

When you think back to 03 and 02 in races where you had cooler temperatures the michelins just didnt get a look in where as the Ferrari/Brigdestone really came into its own. I think you are right in that it has changed.
