If I had to guess, I would say this is more a physical model of a car designed for upcoming gran Turismo 7 video game. Toyota has been their eSports manufacturer of choice over the last few years.

Kinda hope not to be honest, looks so much like a Mercedes, i like the variety, the different shapes, the different sounds. Would hate for GT3 to become kinda generic.

Back in the summer, if I remember correctly, some top Toyota/Lexus US racing official hinted in an interview (could be MWM) that a brand new GT3 platform was coming. He made it clear that RC-F has been a difficult and compromised project, as the base car was never supposed to be a racer, unlike its eventual replacement that's coming. He sounded quite excited. He didn't say when though.

The RC-F did in fact have a rough beginning, I remember it circulating near the bottom of the standings in GT30 for several seasons, even with a decent team/pro driver combo. It also spent some time in development with Emil Frey Racing in the VLN.

At one point it was so slow it couldn't be BoP'd up to the rest of the field.

Could this be a glimpse into Toyota's next GT3 car?
The Makuhari Messe based Tokyo Auto Salon was the stage for Toyota to unveil a new racing concept, namely the GR GT3 Concept.

I quite like it! Even if it's slow, I wouldn't turn one down. If you're listening, Toyota...

Not sure about the detail, at least until they paint it, but the proportions are absolutely ace! It's almost AM Vulkan-like! I love how low it is. I'm assuming those wheels are typical racing 18" and there's practically nothing above the arches. The rear quarter window is barely above the top of the wheel! Compare that to the new Merc SL which manages to look tall and bulky even on 21" wheels! If they manage to put this into production, minus all the mad aero bits, it will be quite a feat considering the recent trends and safety regs.

GR GT3 size compassion with APR GR86 GT300 and RCF GT3

GR GT3
full length 4,590mm
Full width 2,040mm
Overall height 1,140mm
Wheelbase 2,725mm

RCF GT3
full length 4,846mm
Full width 2,030mm
Overall height 1,271mm
Wheelbase 2,770mm

GR86 GT300
full length 4550mm
Full width 1950mm
Overall height 1100mm
Wheelbase 2650mm

As per engine we can say it for now (Until official specs) will use the one by Saitama Toyopet Supra GT300 to here. If I not wrong, engine the one used by Supra GT300 are supposed to be on next-gen RCF (was read on Autosport Japan). Also about wheels, wing and wing mirrors pretty sure it used RCF GT3 stuff.

How about LFA?
rear lights are clearly a LFA ripoff, but the whole body shape/proportion is something in between SLS and aston vulcan. I'm of idea this car is going to get lost somewhere in toyota museum like other toyota concept car of recent past.
Does anyone know if saitama supra gt300 uses stock road chassis? With a less extreme diffuser that car could be ok for gt3 homologation since it uses road V8.

It's supposed to be a concept or a preview for a gt3 car. I don't know if it will look like this. I think it's just something that Toyota put together for the show because it looks a lot like the future Lexus concepts shown a few weeks ago.
