Emily Selleck’s path into F1 journalism is a story of passion and persistence. Growing up in motorsport-loving Australia, she never imagined making it a career. After moving to New York and working as a pop culture journalist, she pitched a mini F1 beat to her editor at the New York Post when Drive to Survive gained traction. This led to her current role at Motorsport Network, where she covers F1's off-track culture, lifestyle, and driver stories.
From asking unique questions like Lando Norris’s thoughts on Donald Trump at the Miami GP to balancing the demanding 24/7 schedule of F1 journalism, Emily’s passion for storytelling shines through. Her favorite moments include the electric Miami GP grid and the welcoming atmosphere of the Indy 500.
Her advice? “Create your own luck and your own opportunities... There's no one path into the F1 paddock.”
