Willi be penalised again? If so Weber leaving!

At both Sepang and Durban Germany's Micheal "Hammermuller" Ammermuller has been disqualified after taking someone else out from behind, and in both cases he has claimed innocence while team boss Willi Weber has been "outraged"...

"Up to now, A1GP has been consistently moving forwards. In the meantime, I’ve become more sceptical...Outright scandalous, however, is the fact that there were extreme differences in the penalties imposed for the very serious incidents that occurred. Our racing car, for example, was turned around on lap four of the main race. Another driver was unable to avoid our car, hit us, and that was the end of our race. Before that, we had been disqualified from the sprint race. We have no knowledge of the driver who ended our race having received any significant penalty. But there are further examples. On lap 39, a young driver, after making a mistake in a blind area, performed an extremely risky manoeuvre, which provoked an accident. This ruined the race of the Brit Oliver Jarvis. Prior to this incident, we had been accused of having caused an ‘avoidable’ accident. So what about this crash, hadn’t this one been avoidable as well?..."

What Willi does not seem to be considering is that Ammermuller seems to make a habit of hitting other cars, in Sepang he did this at least twice (I thought the first one was OK), while Wickens and Zaugg's have only been one-off red mist incidents so far. Also the attitudes seem to be different, as Ammermuller never seems to accept any blame.

I wonder if Weber is blowing hot air, or if he doesn't intend to come back next year and is looking for an excuse to exit. Team Germany has only ever seemed to be a way for Weber to raise the profile of the drivers he manages.

Has any driver's star fallen as spectacularly as Ammermuller's? From being a Red Bull-backed F1 probable, he's stuck playing bumper cars in A1GP and no sign of career progression.

Yeah he didn't impress at all last year, and I've seen nothing this year to suggest that things have changed a lot... his tangle with the Dutch car in the Sprint race was downright amateur.

He last looked good in GP2 Valencia in 2006. What a spectacular divebomb it has been since!

What is Weber complaining about? Rammermueller is constantly hitting people. It may be accidental and out of clumsiness but you just can't do it with the regularity he has.

I will never work out how he got tangled with the Dutch car in the last round at that corner and, worryingly, it seemed he had been performing morse code on the Dutch car for many laps beforehand.

Had this young driver been warned previously as to his conduct though?

he has been penalised far to much for doing far to many bad things, he hasn't impressed for a while pretty big fall from almost in F1 to almost out of A1.
