Lola should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Single seater roll bars

Is it true that scruteneers will ask for roll bar certificates for all cars at each event this season? I have emailed MSA but the reply was

"Provided the ROPS meets the regulations as set out in the MSA Yearbook then no problem. It is merely a case of the dimensions and material meeting the minimum specification. If the ROPS does not meet these requirements then it may already have had a certificate issued. Assuming the ROPS is original to the car it would have met the regulations. That said I have checked the records and ROPS Certificate 590 was issued to Reynard cars for a Reynard 833. If you need a copy of this then please contact our sales desk.

Im therefore none the wiser!

Lee (I assume),

I hope not! But I do have a certificate for our 883 roll hoop if you want one, then just pop it in the car prior to scrutineering just in case.

Ok thank you. Would it be possible to have a photo copy of it at some time? (Ill let you know next time im at a race). I strangely have one for at 873 I think! Not that it helps. If this is true there will be allot of cars being turned away at each event!

The MSA did propose this a couple of years ago, but because they were insisting that it was their tame engineers that did the certificating along with a very large fee ( £1,000's) it was realised it would kill off special builders and seems to have been quietly forgotten.

I'll try and remember to take it work and photocopy it for you. However, I might need gentle reminders every so often.
