What kind of car is it, most constructors used Triumph hubs.

I think they're Triumph Herald uprights and if I remember correctly the hubs have 3.75" stud Centres.

PM Barry Pomfret. He ran a Tiga for years and may be able to help with info.

Try the Thruxton Race School. I know they used Tiga for years, don't know what model, but they might have a "bits box" in a corner somewhere.

I have been in touch with the guy trying to sort this out. The Tiga runs fabricated front uprights and cast ali rears. The hubs are Tiga specials and the rear CV joints are also difficult to get hold of, they are not VW but Morris 1800 ! A lot of the Yanks have converted them with new driveshafts to VW design. The car uses the same hubs as the early Sports 2000 and the uprights are the same, so if anybody knows the whereabouts of some sports 2000 parts it may help him out. I don't think he is going to find this easy! Dermot Healey may have something in his shed from that era.tel 07703162409

Any joy on the Sports 2000 website?,you could also mention your problem on the American FF1600 site, it is www.apexspeed, you will need to go to the Formula Ford section and put a wanted add in and also a thread in the general section. Another contact is a Swedish driver who rebuilt a Tiga a few years ago, he used to post on here and I have met him a few times, his name his Henrik Hansson.

Hello
Didn´t Dermot by all the Tigas from the thruxton race school? I think he had them for sale in bits. There are quite a few Tigas Sport 2000 racing here and I think #60 Niklas Johansson have made rear driveshaft conversions for use of VW driveshafts. I have nothing lying around but can check with Niklas. Which parts are you missing?

Henrik

I need Tiga FF parts BAD!

Matthewd,
I'm restoring a 78 Tiga FF. It came to me in boxes and is truely in junkyard condition. I hate to see these cars lost to scrap and so I've started a search for parts. 78,79,or 80 parts will do...... anything or any information you could supply would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much,
Scott

No.no.no......not guilty...it was Richard Parkin, i think, who had the Tigas from Thruxton....he is on 07899812946, but whether he has any bits remaining i don't know. I have a couple of shafts from rear uprights that may possibly be Tiga....but one was marked 'bent' in chalk when i got it, but i've wiped that off, so it will be fine now !!!!

And finally, a message to Mr Matthew D......why not just give up & sell the Tiga remains to me.....sounds like my kind of car
