Looks like the WEC entry will come out tomorrow at 10am CET. So I'd imagine a raft of announcements should drop today.

It is quite a surprise for me to see Realteam moving away from TDS Racing. Quite a bad news for them as Racing Team Nederland has moved to IMSA so I wonder what will be their racing program this year.


About Realteam, Esteban Garcia will not race so I guess that the team line up will not be a Pro/Am

Sean's quick, he improved his racecraft last year, and he comes with reliable money; with the exception of United, I'm surprised nobody else was in on this. Perhaps they asked, but Galeal only had eyes for the car he consistently saw the back of last year.

One interesting aspect of this grid is the relative lack of P2 Pro-Am. Only 3 cars. So a guaranteed podium with each finish, and likely an easy run to the title for AF Corse.

I was looking at the official list and noticed most GTAM teams only have one driver listed so far. Are they still shopping around for drivers? or is this just a formality?

Also, some extremely good driver lineups in P2. That Penske lineup made me smile with Collard!

Noticing the mention of "Article 3.3.3" for the Project 1 and Dempsey cars. Is that the sharing garage rule? Same for Jota, United, and WRT.

3.3.3 written on the entry list is about paying entry fees, particularly the amount due for more than one car entered (in the 2021 sporting regs).

The teams are required to list one driver with their entry. Doesn't mean other drivers aren't confirmed yet.

Unless the ACO expand the field for full season entries, it'll be interesting to see who/what gets squeezed out for the influx of LMH/LMDH entries for '23. Kolles already got squeezed out and Glickenhaus has only one full time entry this season (other car is probably LM only).

Could this mean that Fuji gets dumped due to limited pit space (I've read that that was the biggest factor in the entry cap in recent years)? Yes, I know that Toyota are in the series and Toyota also owns Fuji Speedway, but if there's not enough pit space, either the venue will have to be switched or Toyota will have to expand the pit/garage complex.

Does that mean that they won't be able to run at Monza then ? Because there won't be more data for a BoP at Monza if they can't at either one of the first three rounds.

If they can't run at Monza, they can't do it at Fuji... and then at Barhain. Am I right ?

This makes no sense at all, especially since we talk about a class with homologated wind tunnel and engine performances.

Poor communication from our ACO/FIA friends. Once again.

I can see why they say that. When you factor in Le Mans being a more important event. Get data from another event first.

Yes, things are homologated in a wind tunnel beforehand, but real world data is also needed.

Race car engineering carried a decent article on the wind tunnel homologation last year.

Autosport carrying a similar article on Peugeot have to do a round before to do Le Mans. https://www.autosport.com/wec/news/p...entry/7222809/
