It has been pencilled in for the 23/24th November, still waiting for this to be confirmed.

Consider it confirmed. I spoke to Paul at Snetterton, and forms were given out.
I'm still not sure whether to do it or not this year. Last year I cooked my brakes, engine, and clutch, and didn't manage to get an awful lot of time on the track. What little time I got was funtastic though.. |

anyone going ? I've not been to this yet.
Its a lot more frightening being driven around in something fast than driving it yourself |

I am going up with a large-ish group of friends.
My neice and nephew will be getting rather early Christmas presents. |

Word of advice - avoid the Sunday and go on Saturday instead. The queues are ridiculous on Sunday!

Dunno about that... I know it was two years ago but I think it changed last year. At least I remember buying tickets on Saturday last year and having a ride...!

Heard a whisper that they are having trouble getting insurance due to this 'compensation claim society' we live in now. Hence the delay with a concrete date.
Under 18s have to have an adult with them in the car - but not the driver! Hope someone is taking the Arrows 3 seater then! |

Yeah there was a nasty 'off' last year at Russell... to be honest you can understand the problem with insurance!

There was also a nasty one at a track day at Snett in July with the driver and instructor hurt.
Another shunt at Russell, hence the removal of the earth bank by the marshals post at the entry to Russell - the same one Cleland hit a few years ago. It is the insurers who are apparantly asking for the under 18s to be accompanied. Let's hope something can be sorted as I was hoping to be able to let my kids have a ride too. |

Just checked the form from last year, and Saturday was a 'corporate day', but there were still public rides - just not as many..
Sunday has the largest queues, but you may have limited choice for rides on Saturday.. |

oh no - I have promised my neice and nephew rides for Christmas - they will be so upset or is this a cunning plan so my brother goes in with them!!!
Last year there were a few cars on the Saturday but loads and loads on the Sunday. The queues for the little cars moved quite quickly IMO. Last edited by Les; 30 Sep 2002 at 21:55. |
