Drive available in NW FF1600
Oops, I've just found a fax that had fallen behind my desk. It was dated 6th February.
John Loebell wishes it to be known that Medina Sport have one remaining drive available in the Opal Telecom NW FF1600 Championship. The car is a Van Diemen RF01. Contact details on brsccnw.com |

I thought Medina had gone bust now. You'd better give him a ring first

You've got it wrong. Medina Sport are still in business. I have spoken to John Loebell this morning. They are not running in the main Zetec series this year, but will be running a two pronged attack elsewhere. 1. They will be running two FF1800 cars in the Club Series. One for the Silverstone Scholarship winner Ryan Parrouty. I can't name their second confirmed runner just yet. 2. They are also running Alan Pike in the NW FF1600 Championship and have a second car [RF01] available for anybody interested. John Loebell will also be 'assisting' the new team on the NW FF1600 block, in the early stages of their existence. Mark Chadwick's new Northstar Motorsport team are running two RF04s in the NW FF1600 Championship for Mark himself and Paul Gerrard. John also intends to be out himself in selected NW FF1600 rounds. So no, Medina have not gone bust. Perhaps a retraction is called for. |

Well it looks like John will have his hands full with all my repairs and rebuilds as I push Redracer off every time I lap him LOL.
Sprocket up there they wait until someone has read it before it is passed down the line.... |

thats no problem as I only started racing 1/2 way through the season. My testing coach hutch has got me on the pace for this year after testing at the end of the season. I got a good forth place in only my 4th FF race so was pleased with that. But this year we have a new engine, lots of tyres and lots of testing!!!
Joking and fancy banter aside, I don't expect to win the championship but I am looking for solid podiums and you never know I could be in the right place at the right time to get a win. We will have to wait and see. I am just looking forward to getting out again as the North West champs have such a good buzz at the moment. Everyone involved makes it a good weekend and racing just makes it perfect!! |

Sorry thanks for clearing that up everyone, thats just what I had heard when Clarke went to JLR. I must have got the wrong end of the stick.
BTW Sprocket its not a libelous statement, I was meerly queerying the advert. Which also btw Ian, adverts are banned on the forum otherwise I would be advertising ourselves all the time. |

I don't think that a Zetec conversion is any quicker and all the parts are so ££$$££$$. They are much harder to get off the line so if you get pole you will be 10th in to Old Hall anyway!!!
I would love to race with John but UCLAN are a great bunch and I am happy with them for this year. Maybe next year? |

Never mind! the beer swilling students do a good job anyway. John went quick in that car within a couple of races a couple more and he would of got the lap record after more seat time.In the wet nothing can touch them.

One thing though, this thread [and the other one re FFZ] has provoked some interesting discussion / debate / shouting matches today. It has livened up an otherwise quiet Saturday morning. Everything now seems rosy again, so happy posting folks. |
