sarrcford should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Looking for Van Diemen FF2000 '99-01

I race a 97 Van Diemen FF2000 in the SE USA. I am considering upgrading to a 99 or newer car (as a roller) and possibly purchasing one in the UK. I am just beginning my research into whether or not this is a cost effective option. I would appreciate any thoughts, comments or directions.

I would try Jonathan Lewis at Comtec Racing as he builds up such cars and just won the monoposto championship in the UK with a beautifully prepared one. Try www.comtecracing.com
Have fun

As you probably know there is no current FF2000 in the UK now, so the other possibility is to get a Zetec (1800 cc) rolling chassis and mix/match with yours? But remember Zetec's have no wings, wrong spring rates, etc?

I was not aware that this class no longer exists in the UK. What is the next closest class? F4? Here it would be FF2000 Zetec which is the same chassis with a 2000cc Zetec engine. Thank you for that information.

Looked into this for a mono car this year (here in the UK) nad it seems there are more differences than might first be thought between an FF2000 (USA) and a FF Zetec (Europe).

To make a 2ltr car from a Zetec will cost min 5k plus all your labor, its much better for you to get one in the US already a good roller will be about 7-12 k a good 00 roller UK Zetec will cost 5-7 k plus your kit and work then the transportation to the US and import Tax, also the 99 to 01 Zetec cars are making top dollar here because so many are being made into Kent FF1600 cars.
