Therefore it would be more precise to say "racer helmet" is the trademark of HSV, with permission from GM Holden, and therefore it will not appear on non-HSV associated racing cars?

I guess it exists in some form, maybe it has a legacy somewhere. Otherwise it wouldn't be on the helmet

HSV is now a hollow shell; a cynical name sitting on tarted up 4x4s that weren't any good to begin with. I guess you could justify it on a RHD converted Camaro, in the same way the Tickford Mustangs existed - but they were horrible and twice the price they should have been too.

Nothing special, or really Holden about them. HSV died with the Commodore, IMO.

As much as there were Astras and Pajeros in the early days, HSV really did its magic, and had genuine links with the racing through HSV/HRT. IMO it is appropriate that the mark was retired by mutual consent.

To rationalise this predicament, that is where their cashed-up bogan market has gravitated to in recent years though.

Their fall from glory is also easier to accept when you consider they stole Brock's original HDT concept in the first place.

You wouldnt expect a big crowd thursday for only 1 SUpercar session, however was similar to what you would find on a Friday session as in this case. IM guessing you will see a larger increase today, mind you not sure how leaving work at midday on friday will go with alot of peoople to attend the midday start.

I will be there, not looking forward to the 5 degree temps in the eve though

Love the night races - kicking back on Thursday night watching cars on track is unreal.

Not sure about crowds/ratings, but for me it's a concept worth expanding (if feasible)

The team radioed Whincup to let van Gisbergen through. Whincup replies "What for" to his engineer.

Technical parity has now been reached and the mustangs still come in 1,2,3.

What excuses will the holden teams come up with now???

Rule 103.9
if your team mate want move over, then the top 4 cars must go to pit lane and serve a 2 minute penalty stop , so Redbull can win.

no whinging problem solved

What about a night mini-series? WA, Eastern Creek and Queensland Raceway?

Can someone please give Simona a half decent bloody car!!! All this bs diversity talk, yet when the series gets a truly fast female she's relegated to Nissan - ironic considering it clearly is lacking compared to the Commo/Mustang. Parity adjustment anyone?

I was glad he did. He might not always get it right but Whincup isn't going to finish wondering.
I would love to know what the conversation between Whincup and Roland Dane was in the garage before the Larkham interview with Jamie started.

Well done to DJRTP and to TR as well.
They also sit 1-2-3 in the points totals too.

Presumably if the Mustang can still win through the adversity of constantly being nobbled, Holden teams will continue to try and find/invent further "parity" issues.

Sounds like a great concept but Im not sure you would get the crowds to facilitate the lighting expense

Im not sure what was said last night on Fox, but i did hear it works well as BBG as its like a bowl type colleseum circuit with the banks high on the outside so the effect is pretty good.

Just a pity the infield pits cut off half the race viewing

Pre-race interviews on the gird last night, when Crompton approached The Chaz...did The Chaz say "When you big guns come down to talk..."

Hope that is what I heard as it had me in stitches.
