It's not unusual, happens every year, always waiting to see if we'll actually be employed for the year

To be honest, we had also less informations in the last years. Maybe more info on italian websites and forums. Because there is no big press machinery behind the series and teams, like in DTM etc.

We are always surprised, how many cars and teams are at the first race :-)

Audi Sport Italia:Morbidelli-Dionisio and another driver to announce
Solaris Motorsport: (will start with a Camaro and a Lumina):Sini and probably Schiattarella
MRT with the Lexus IS-F (maybe will be driven by Battaglin)
BMW Dinamic:Berton-Mugelli and maybe Biagi
RRT:maybe Gigi Ferrara

You know it's a holding year, to keep things ticking over before the launch of Supertouring in 2015. It's perfect for teams who want to enter next year to get their feet wet but not be committed to the whole of 2014, with the expense it entails. There will be new teams, cars and drivers popping up all season and, even if Morbidelli has a drive, it'll be a lot tougher this year running without 4WD. It looks initially like a Mercedes year, with Chevrolet in with a real decent chance with BMW not introducing their new engines until 2015. The Lexus must get itself together and Porche will not have the resources this year.

But, it's racing. History tells us we'll probably all be wrong

Yesterday Thomas Schoffler completed a shake-down of a fourth Audi RS5.

Audi Sport Italia told that "3 drivers,a german,an italian and a czech tested the car and they might attend the EuroV8 Series"

Their pans sounded really well, but i even can't see someone, that might finance such plan.
If they have someone, racing would be outstanding and very interesting. But i am not sure, if a bad year 2014 will be a good start for 2015!

You don't get to the top without putting in a hell of a lot of work - the teams, the drivers and the organisers have been working for years to make this a brilliant series, the races are exciting and entertaining, the cars are awesome (in many different ways), rookies and vets -what's not to like?

Probably back on the calendar in 2015...it's an expensive round to put on and for the teams to get to...sometimes you just have to swallow the bitter pill to get better later

Scuderia Giudici will field 4 BME M3 E92 for Gianni Giudici himself,his son Claudio (18 years-old),Domiziano Giacon and his son Jonathan (20,competed last year with a RS4 at Portimao;2nd classified in the final standing of Trofeo Abarth 500 italia).
In addition,a 550i will be driven by Walter Conforti.

Tomas Kostka is going to drive for Audi Sport Italia for the whole season,alongside Dionisio and maybe Morbidelli (according to an italian website Morbido will drive a Munnich's Cruze in WTCC)..

The EUROV8 SERIES organisers have confirmed that there will be six titles up for grabs in this year’s series, while Balance of Performance (BoP) measures for the first round will be confirmed later this month.
