Where are these cars now?

I know we have been talking about the lack of cars in the BTCC this year but I have been looking through some old issues of Autosport and the cars where used in the BTCC last year and have at some point over the winter been offered for sale, so where are these cars now:-

The 2 GA Astra's and there Alfa. I understand they have a new Alfa for 2005.
The 2 Team Dynamics Honda Civic's
The 3 2004 spec works Astra's, I think one went to TCR and team kept one of the others
The Edenbridge BMW's.
The VLR Pugeot 307's and the 406's, John George has his car and is using in Britcar but I am sure I saw the others being advertised.
The WSR MG's, the car Collard used at the Media day was Turkington's car from last year and the one he used yesterday was Reid's car.

So has anyone got any idea's?

Edenbridge BMW was for sale, don't know if it was sold.
Likewise WSR had the MGs for sale but don't think they found a buyer.

Did Dynamics transfer any of the running gear from the Civics in their new Integras?

Not sure about that, I also having a feeling that I saw an ad for the Arena Civic's too. It's a shame that no one has picked these cars up and is using them in this years BTCC.

Pretty sure they transfered as much running gear as possible.....seem to remember them talking about less "unknowns" with the integra as the astra because if i remember correctly the engine was the same

Dynamics I believed kept one Civic (and butchered it IIRC) and sold the other one...thought it was to TCR, not sure though.

TTR Motorsport - where's your team?

You said on here last year you'd be running a pair of MGs.

Why would the civics be so much more than the 888 astras?
How would Turkington be able to afford 50k?

Both cars are 2004 spec...

Maybe Vauxhall just want shot of them more...discount - they certainly will never need them again. At least the Civic is a current model, so someone could possible get some Honda sponsor money to run them somewhere.

True.. I was really looking forward to seeing them hit the track this year

If there isn't enough money in the world of motorsport, maybe you could try your hand at being an English teacher Toby?

Having said that, we could have done with the extra team this year don't you think?

We need more teams on the grid, no doubt about it, even if some of them are slow. 12-car fields are not good enough and will cause the series to lose appeal before long.

I've already submitted my mates Golf GTi, and my neighbours Ford Escort GL for the next round. That should be at least 14 cars at Thruxton!

Actually the entrylist on btcc.net has shrunk somewhat. But the 'Firstserve' Honda has been filled with TBA/TBA. Arena's gone.
