Congrats Sam
That was thrilling. I can't believe how they don't crash more often... I gotta say I was rooting for Helio... but Sam drove an awesome race

Great drive from both Sam and Helio, either would have deserved the win. and what a race, too. down to the last 2-3 inches. 2003 is looking rosy too....

the 2 races i have seen this year (last 2 rounds) have been classics..... being a cart fan aswell, i cant see why people bag the irl - the racing is CLOSE with some OVERTAKING
congrats to sam hornish - i am sure most people would have tipped team penske to take out the title at the start of the year. |

Hope we get some free-to-air coverage soon here in Australia, it'd be nice to witness a race apart from the Indy 500. Well done Sam Hornish, i must say a mean part of me is glad Helio lost, beacuse it means Penske have lost - and I've never liked them since they left CART

Well, now I guess is a good time to eat my hat. Many months ago I predicted a Penske 1-2 runaway in the championship. Kudos not only to Hornish but to his team as a whole.
Witnessed some phenomenal racing by watching some of this series this year. I'll be watching again next year, but I promise that TG will never get a penny out of me. |

Now the big IF is what if Gil hadn't crashed at Chicagoland?
I would have liked him do it 3 in a row... |
