World Series Zolder: lap record demolished
Bas Leinders has set an impressive lap this afternoon during the last session of the Collective Tests held at Zolder. The best timed lap of the Circuit since the new layout dated from 2001 (Biagi - Lola Zytec (F3000) -1.25.91 (166.636 km/h).
Leinders has demolished this mark by lapping 1.21.540 (175.6 km/h). Talk about an improvement!! Almost 13 drivers were packed in the same second, but actually all the 20 drivers were running below the former official record lap. |

let me tell you that an official fastest lap can only be recorded in a race and not in a free practice and even not in qualif. A track record can only be broken in a race! I don't mean anything about it, i just wanted to explain!

People always talk about the unofficial lap record as the lap record. Race lap records are obviously not the fastest that they can go.

aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, This is really great.....saw them today, awesome. The sound is nice, it looks hot and the quality of the drivers is very good. It's going to be a fantastic weekend.

So then the "official" lap record will be a 1'22"24 from the race Mr astromega. 3.7 sec quicker than the previous 3000 record.
