I had wondered if it was calendar-clash related, thanks for clearing that one up.

Sadly it tells you all you need to know when a driver choses Spanish F4 over British F4.

I think his British F4 deal came very late and after he signed a Spanish F4 deal. There's probably some contractual obligations being honoured.

Yes, Spanish F4 is his main career programme and they're spending more money on weekends off.

Plenty of junior drivers would kill for the chance to race in different series at one time. The more mileage the better. At least we can appreciate him more the times he does race in the F4 series over here.

No, it really doesn't. That's not how it works at all. Sadly it tells you which series his family think is most important to pay for and for his potential career.

It was just a comment on the sadness that the British F4 is generally not seen as a prime series these days, primarily due to the old-fashioned style of tracks. No more than that.

But then we get the people who think drives are "secured" or drivers are "selected by teams" or who know so much about the driver they think he is British when he isn't.

British F4 races at 1 F1 circuit.
Spanish F4 races at 2. Italian F4 races at 3.

Always helps to have track knowledge before you arrive in F3.

One good thing about the British series is that the nature of the tracks means you have to learn to keep it on the track. The run off areas in UK tracks aren't as forgiving as others.

Yes, although they also race and test at other relevant circuits too.

The sad problem with the British tracks is that just generally aren't representative of world motorsport any more. Personally I still prefer them, but career driven drivers certainly don't!

I know it’s early on and I’m hoping for a dynamics return next season! Was thinking wouldn’t it be good if dynamics attracted a sponsor like BWT the cars will look really cool!

They'd have to buy back their FK8 Civics to do that wouldn't they? I'm sure Steve Dudman/One Motorsport own them now....

Or of course do some new builds.

Or take on a couple of the Cupras perhaps? (Matt Neal and Barry Plowman seem more involved with TEAM-HARD than any link-up with One Motorsport. Both in Team Hard kit at Snetterton I noted from Dan Lloyd's Instagram stories and in his garage working with him closely.)

I don't think there's much chance of them getting those Civics, One Motorsport will be keen to keep them. I expect Dynamics to now help with the building the cars for others in the future. I doubt they're interested in the Cupras, although it's good that Neal is helping out there and Plowman seems happy to stay there, so perhaps that's where their future is. One Motorsport will do their own thing. Hopefully Matt and Barry can help the team progress further, especially as they still have improvements to make

Funny isn't it, I wish journalists could report things they are privvy to when it happens.
Spotted one magazine journalist writing about how Motorbase and Sutton are very happy with the Focus, considering they ditched the RWD Audi project they were working on.
In another mag a touring car journalist was writing about how Dynamics had a deal to run two ex WTCR Cupras in TCR UK this season with Seat support from the former WTCR team, but pulled out on the eve of the announcement because they were not looking likely to make enough of a profit.

Happens every other year. A few fans being on the money, but waiting till the season is up and running before the press all but confirm they were right!

Also noted in one article that other teams are circling wanting a 'tech bulletin' assault on Motorbase.

It will be truly appalling if Motorbase get hammered for doing a good job when the others had their feet up. I suspect the Paddock is also spewing about the Napa deal. Maybe a bit more effort and a bit less whining required?

How would it be any different to when a load of performance degrading measures were brought in for the RWD cars?

You may feel I'm nit-picking but that did affect a lot more than just one team. (In answer to your question)
