Well there will always be loopholes there to be exploited. Both DJR and 888 are masters at it. But the competition is still fierce

The COG parity may just relate to the DJR/TP heavy silencers.

Given the way the rules have been since 1993, how can anyone, Ford included, have seen the results and NOT expected a parity change?

Remember once upon a time when they used to throw all the lap times into an algorithm and conclude that despite all the races being won by one team, that there wasn't a parity issue? I gather that program didn't get put on someone's new computer or whoever did those calcs is no longer around?

Well the team will always prepare their cars better, regardless of what car they are running

I think they won’t have it all their own Way. Certainly other teams like in the past can catch up

Mystifyingly however those same cars were very fast in the dev series, easily clocking times much faster than they had done in the main game, with no mechanical changes. |

So the COG test was run at Kelly's and being that I know Supercars love transparency I was just wondering where I can find the results? Supercars.com?

I suspect they will want to analyse the results first, before coming to any particular conclusion.

Buy a team and you'll find that all the results of such tests are shared to all teams. If you want the level of transparency that you seem to, that's how you get it - being a team will give you access to all the detailed information you seem to be looking for.

200mm taken off in '95, and offered back in '96 just before Bathurst which the teams declined. It is kinda funny, if you look back at the history: https://tentenths.com/forum/showthre...t=32016&page=2 What is happening now is _exactly_ what has always happened. The technology and stakes are just higher. |

While it's great to build a new mouse trap better than the last, if it is then built to a ruleset that allows it to be significantly better, then there should be reason to investigate exactly why.
In a parity series, no one make of car should have a distinct advantage over the other two. |

Well they should come to an agreement about it, every team and organiser in the series, then they can agree on what needs changing instead making everything random
If they don’t want one car dominating they need to lay down the rules that would make that work |

They've done that but as is always the case with rules in sport, the rulebook needs updating or adjusting as new ideas come along.

I wonder what is going on. This must be different from usual. There must be something interesting to analyse here. What are the ins and outs? Can’t we find a solution?

They'll be busy reverse-engineering the data to match a pre-determined outcome.
This can take some time. |

Supercars is a board, so I'd imagine that board would have to meet to discuss the findings, and vote on a resolution.
In more important news, time certain finishes are gone: https://autoaction.com.au/2019/03/21...UeDeyB16CBkKAk |

That should have happened well before now but great to see that at last sanity has prevailed. |
