JustinDawkins should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Wooo Hooo Cadwell!

It says here: http://www.ff1600.co.uk/index.php?id=947

............that MSV have organised a FF1600 race at Cadwell!! Which is superb and fantastic work by Palmer and friends.

Only bad point it it clashes with NW at Oulton - however there seems to be some hope in that the MSV site says it on the Sunday the 1st (which is the second) so I hope the day not date is wrong! Anyone any ideas?

Unfortunately the supplementary regs state "Saturday 1 April", which is rather clear-cut...

Thats a shame, has anyone (Ian) spoken to MSV to try and get the date changed to attract more entries?

I gave my own personal views on the viability of FF1600 at Cadwell to MSV a few weeks ago. No doubt MSVR are hoping to try to capture some interest by offering the entry fee at such a fantastic rate (£185 for 4 minutes free practice, 20 minute qualifying and two 20 minute races) but I am afraid they might not find it too easy.

It might be of most interest to Classic drivers, who I know wanted to visit Cadwell this year but their calendar doesn't include it.

I would imagine that the date is reasonably fixed now.

Is that right Ian? What's a lap time at Cadwell that would only be 1 flying lap! Would 10 be better and 15 min qualifying?

I've been informed by MSVR that this meeting has been cancelled due to operational reasons.

In case anyone hasn't seen the news yet, the Cadwell Spring Cup has indeed been cancelled (due to a lack of interest), but MSVR's Brands Hatch Spring Starter on 19th March now offers two 20 minute races for £100.

Full story here: http://www.ff1600.co.uk/index.php?id=950, and will be on MSV's own website later in the morning.

what a bummer...the meeting was only announced last week wasnt it? seems a bit premature to pull it so soon, unless it was more down to the realisation theyd messed up by chosing a clashing date with NW. Is it the whole day or just the FF1600 aspect?
