Heh.

A strange turn of events, given his silly comments yesterday.

Good to see Scotty being fastest in initial qualifying.

That would so good to get the trifecta, they'd be spewing about it on here for months!

Not a bad result, given he was laid up in hospital.

He's got a severe case of karma. Should have kept his big mouth shut then he wouldn't have picked up any of the toxins in pitlane!!!

Snowflakes melt very quickly, particularly when it gets this close to Summer.

A few in pitlane may be put in their place for bringing the sport into disrepute.

Hmmm - that looks like the mysterious footage which was cut from the new version?

Does PM really know what he's talking about, or is his good mate RD just making this stuff up for him?

It was a good segment. There are a couple of engine gurus in the PMM engine shop that can easily help set this up so Mr Ingall can understand it.

Except they omitted some key items from the steward's decision document, which they said they poured over; including the engine having water in the oil, and the actual zero horsepower gain found (yet Russell alleged there was an additional 5-6 HP)

Pores too.
Was there oil in the water radiator when they took the engine out after qually?
Conventional wisdom suggests there should have been, if not.. more questions.

At least they didn’t talk about the ‘nitrous oxide theory’ that had been floating around

700 thou is the nominated lift setting, 10 thou extra is tolerated and permitted, so if an engine is legally set at 710 thou and then due to stress factors unbeknown the lift exceeds 710 thou it is then outside the specified limits........not hard to understand.

Interesting, when the drivers find a track "awesome" its very often boring for the spectators

There aren't any passing opportunities. They need to push T1 out another 400m along Wharf road to Wolfe street, over the old rail line then return via Scott street to the existing layout. It'd create potentially two passing opportunities.

Congratulations to Mr van Gisbergen on his win!

There is a bad taste around the winner-elect of the Teams Championship having presented a non-conforming car, and managed a professional foul.

Within BJR, WAU and 888 there may well be; but that's their ongoing issue to get over.

In this case there is a price to pay even if there is no cheating.

Some of this needs shifting to another thread, I thought it was a discussion of the Newcastle meeting here.
