Alf Costanzo

Advert in Auto Action#1747, for Historic Meeting at Sandown on November 10-11th mentions that it will Alf Costanzo's last race.

Alf Costanzo well known open wheel driver, along with a few stints in various tin tops over the years. From memory may have partnered with one of his for open wheeler rivals, John Bowe at Bathurst in a Nissan Skyline.

Maybe a Volvo.

To get an appreciation of how popular Alf was I suggest a watch of the Sensational Sandown DVD and the Rothmans Formula 5000 race.

They shared the lead Volvo in 1986. Bowe also advocated for Costanzo to be part of the DJR lineup
