Good choice in my view. It's always been something of a tough gig & the person doing it needs to have the strength and understanding of the game to be consistent and deliver good outcomes - Mr Burgess has both.

It closes a bit of a loop too. The original person in the role (was called Operations Manager then) was Mr Manson and he and Mr Burgess both worked at the same team together for a time in the UK - maybe it was just meant to happen?

you would think he would stay at TEKNO until the end of year and then Little would take over? If they infact stay in the game ?

It honestly wouldn't surprise me. If one of the wealthiest teams on the grid has handed one back, it speaks volumes about the health of the business. Is Burgess' appointment a knee-jerk reaction by supercars to appease hostile REC holders?

Knee-jerk? The current incumbent is leaving so someone needed to be appointed and even though overseas candidates were interviewed, Burgess stood out. Hostile? Have you seen anything to suggest hostile REC holders or are you seeing reds under the bed?

I'm not suggesting for one moment that burgess isn't suitable for the job. I feel his placement is a step in the right direction, but I can't help but get the feeling that his appointment was orchestrated by a number of concerned REC holders who are fighting for a more 'sustainable' supercars, going forward.

With you now - yeah, could be. It seems there's a need to be more sustainable at one and and be able to generate better income at the other. Burgess might be able to fix one end but the revenue is going to depend a lot on future broadcast deals I reckon. The current one has hurt.
