kjw should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
[QUOTE=rww;3271554]Sorry we missed you Ken. We did come round to the posh end of the paddock but you were in your Club marquee for the award ceremony.

Sorry we missed you Richard, you should have come in and said hallo. Chris was going well, good lap times.

Some entertaining video from the Mini Festival at Brands Race 2, Mini Miglia.

We appear to have a wayward rear end on the 'Sow's Ear' which we are now investigating. The red warning light for high water temp was caused by a new metro rad that didn't have the capacity (water rails) of the previous one.

Clearways spin was, as you can see, waiting to happen. No harm done apart from a very dusty interior!

Yes, well done Ken. Excellent result after an hour of racing.

Our season ended in the Paddock Hill tyre wall after a poor qualy left Chris well down the grid and on the outside. Not the place to be, 3 or 4 abreast. Mainly cosmetic, despatched the carbon front and the rad down the tip today and brushing up (!) on my spraying skills. See you 2014.

Minicross424 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Guys and girls.
Looking for some standard 10 inch mini wheels on tyres (don't have to be legal just stay up!) to run my rolling shell about.
PM me if anyone can help.
Also a fellow plumber I know is after a pair of Mini seats for his road Mini.
Something from the era of the Mini 25 or Rover era?
Thanks in advance.

I like to thank all of the purple racing team for a fantastic season a special congratulation must go to James on his 2 out right victories at Nurburge ring last weekend and also Gordon for 3rd in the championship following his tremendous accident at Spa. A sterling effort by all and not forgetting a special thanks to the BCT.

Roll on 2014

Unfortunate, for us, that they brought forward the BH Mini Festival date as I shall be in Oz on that date.

Oulton P is a possibility though.

As soon as you have some BCT dates, Rob, perhaps you could post those also.Thanks.

Unless the time table is changed I wont do the Mini festival again next year.
Being the almost the last race of the day on Sunday was boring and hugely annoying.

Will the Dunlop tyre situation have a big impact on the Minis this year? Is there an alternative supplier lined up? The availability (or lack of) for the Dunlops is going to hit a lot of people but the miglias use the Dunlop exclusively don't they?

Dunlop's Motorsport division in Birmingham is closing, this is where they make our Historic tyres as well as Dunlop's for more modern race cars

Very bad news all round
Lots of skilled jobs lost in Birmingham
Apparently Dunlop will move production to Europe, so we can expect costs to rise accordingly. Hopefully there is enough demand for 10" tyres for them to continue.
There are no alternatives that I am aware of that actually work on a Mini. I believe that Hoosiers are too hard.

The problem is that it's likely there will be a gap between Birmingham closing and the continental facility cranking out the tyres - so there will be a period where the tyres aren't available. Is it possible that the range will be reduced when the tyres do come back on stream? We run Dunlops on our Escort but we do at least have a couple of alternatives that are ok (not as good but still ok). I did wonder if it would be a problem for the Minis as the 10" wheels aren't used by a lot else and I've only really seen people using the Dunlops.

Just ordered some tyres and there does not appear to be an issue with the supply of Dunlop race tyres at the moment or in the near future, so they said.
